Frenzy

Frenzy

Stiff autumn wind heralding winter's onset

Leaves  yellow and dry at Nature's behest

Evening chirping of birds returning home

Tired yet lively after pickings and peckings

Feathers cleaned  in trickly springs

Cool wind blows the leaves fall after blows

Shake and shiver dance in wanton frenzy

Most have kissed the grass and city streets

Awaiting unceremonious sweeps ne'er to sway

Never to sway in the gentle summer breeze

Do they cry out to Nature"Spare us please" ?
