Little Grey Mice.

Are you one of the little grey mice that one sees as one goes through life? The wall flowers so to speak at many dancing events. No need to be ashamed you are not the pushing type. There are many reasons to be a grey mouse; one is that many things were denied one while growing into adulthood.

I myself am one of the grey mice, I was not taught to dance. I first learned to swim when I reached the age of fourteen. I was one of the stand byes wanting to take part but not daring to because of my lack of confidence.

I travelled the path that leads to anonymity a well-trodden path as I know. There is nothing to be ashamed of do you hear. It is all a matter of having the right childhood.

If parents are reading this short note, take notice and put your child on the right path the path that leads to a fulfilled life, a happy life without all of the doubts that plague the little grey mouse types.

Teachers in schools have a golden opportunity to help such little grey mice. Give encouragement. A word of praise here and there can work wonders. Even if a child is not too bright it is worthwhile to encourage the child with short words of praise.

So your child is a little grey mouse, what do you do to help the child to see and think positively? Small rewards are appreciated and can help through a rough passage that your child might be in. Think back to your early life. Were you ever praised for something that you have taken much trouble to do properly?

Dentists, Doctors, Nurses all can be part of helping the little grey mice of this world. A smile goes a long way when one is fearful of what might happen when they visit people in white coats or in uniforms of Authority. Even the Policeman on his rounds of duty has sometimes a wonderful opportunity to help a little grey mouse. It might just be you that is on the spot when the child needs reassurance and a smile to help him or her to relax. Frowns nearly always put fear in to a child’s heart.

Smile more give short words of encouragement then we might see less of the little grey mice and more responsible Adults in this grand old world of ours.
