Sigh.

  • Oh how I hate to hear you sigh,
  • Each time I tell a little white lie.
  • From you all my problems I try to hide,
  • I push them from me to one side.
  • Nothing shall shadow your peace of mind.
  • I above all try my best to be kind.
  • For I love you more than all earthly things,
  • I have done since the day we exchanged rings.
  • Our home is alike to a loving nest,
  • For you my love nothing but the best.
  • I try to show my love for you,
  • But you know that I am true.
  • True to the vows that I once made,
  • On that far off day under the Oak trees shade.
  • Yes I swore to love you on that wonderful day,
  • Happiness has been with us all of the way.
  • That is why it hurts me to tell a little white lie,
  • It always will until the day that I have to die.
