The chase.

The cat was aloof and never said a word

untill she saw upon the grass a little  singing bird.

Her instincts roared and down she went a smile upon her face,

she moved along so slowly but ready to give chase

The dog he slavered panting, his leg cocked as he peed

and trotted round the corner a happy dog indeed,

he stopped and spied the cat , the archness of her back

and off he went quite wild, intent upon attack.

The cat she took to running her fur and tail a sight,

the bird it blinked and chirped and quickly acheived flight.

The poor old dog was useless he could not catch the cat,

the cat was disapointed too she wanted to get fat.

But singing bird escaped and thought those silly two

they could not catch a cold,

let alone bird flu!
