The tragic has happened today
And you now seem so far away
But we visit and know you are near
Seeing you still there calms our fears
And when we leave, you stay in our prayers
Even though they just rip and tear
Cause when we pray, we can see your smile
Like a reflection, from the river Nile
And we don’t know when we’ll see that smile again
It could be in a day, a year, or possibly ten
Either way it seems so far away and so unfair
That something like this could happen to a girl with so much care
So we get down on our knees and pray for the best
The day when you awaken and our heart can once again rest
