Sleep now fair little one

And know your days were never numbered

Lie in the immortal arms of love

And dream that worthy of a soul so pure



Sleep and know true peace

Grow in heavens mighty company

And learn all that may befit you

A beloved child beyond the pearly gates



Innocence and Glory name you

Claiming for themselves what Earth could never hold

And so bequeathing upon you a gift

You in your gown of purest white



With rosey cheecks and eyes that glow

Need never know the perils and pains of a mortal life

Never bound to hate nor grief

No tears shall streak that flawless face



With true happiness as your companion

And eternity your playground

No doubts or pain will ever haunt you

And your heart know only joy



Freedom is my last wish for you

And Peace my only gift
