Desperation is driving me crazy.

But, what am I desperate for?

What is it that I truly need?

Love?  Compassion?  Forgiveness?

To feel needed?  To know someone

truly cares about what happens to me?

Desperation is driving me crazy.

I am so desperate to no longer feel desperate.

Desperation is driving me crazy.

But, what am I desperate for?

To feel Your loving caress

upon this tender heart of mine?

For my heart to once again feed

upon the feast that You provide

in Your very Word?

I am so desperate to no longer feel desperate.

Desperation is driving me crazy.

But, what am I desperate for?

I am so desperate to no longer feel desperate.

Oh, I am so poor,

having traded Your riches

for my own selfishness.

And Desperation is driving me crazy.

But, what am I desperate for?

That is what I sincerely want to know.
