Fairytale in motion

It's a self-delusion when you think you are the queen.

Your toy box is not your throne, and your dolls are not your loyal subjects.

Autistic child, scared of simple touch

Sits on the piece of wood she thinks is made of gold.

Her Father doesn't have the heart to tell her

That she is no longer Daddy's little princess.

She likes dresses

They way they twirl around her knees as she spins across the marble floor.

It fascinates her.

When asked, she said a rainbow was her favorite shape because it wasn't normal.

Like her.

Drawing a picture of her family, she put herself in a flower dress with lace along the hem.

No one had the heart to tell her that she was sixteen.

She had invented this world she lived in, all inside her head.

But one day she was trapped inside her imaginary mind.

People say she is crazy.

She thinks she is lucky.
