Mother Nature Confused

White amber's fall from the misty sky, that burns with the frost bitten fires of winter.

At night I can hear the moon praying for the heat of the summer showers.

Clouds float through the morning so quickly, I wonder if I had just dreamed them.

There beautiful dawn colors swirl over my eyes painting them red-orange with their radiance, And the wind kisses my eye lashes using it's soft chill to turn my eyes back to gray.

Cold January nights keep me under an old dusty quilt as I listen to the trees morn the loss of there leaves.

A slow whistling storm of snow and ice tap my window and keep me awake until the first  March morning.

When look out side my door and  see the green blossoms hanging gracefully from the branches and know that spring must be here.

I take a step back inside my home only to feel a tiny drop of water fall on my head and dance across my skin. And  look up to see one single ice  icicle still trying to survive the afternoon's fever.

They look so beautiful when they cry.
