A Walk in the Moonlight

Folder:
Love

I awakened in the still of night

to take a walk outside;

I did not fear the darkness

for the moonlight was my guide.

I thought about our summertimes,

the carefree walks at night;

how time, upon the magic winds

has flown with all its might.

Yet time remains the same, my love,

the old becomes the new;

and when I walk at midnight,

I walk, my love, with you.

For death and love can toll no time,

in my dreams, we fly so free;

so, come, my love, and once again

please take a walk with me.
