This Pain That Resides Within Me
I wish you could feel how this pain does feel
Then maybe you would not inflict it at your will
Onto me it buries itself deep into my soul
As each day it grows and grows
This pain that resides within me
I can never break myself free
It is to strong for my friends to pull away
Although they try their best every single day
This pain within me is so strong that I know
Heaven can’t pull it up from the devil down below
So I must learn to live with this pain that resides within me
I must learn how to ignore it and just let it be
As it grows more and more the more you stay
Through my soul and heart it makes its merry way
Until the day that it envelops all that I am
Then the day will come there’ll be a break in the dam
Then maybe it will all finally break free
This pain
