Momma Weeps

Folder:
For my furkids

I look down on Momma from above,
She's crying again and I know why,
It's my fault, I had to leave her,
It's my fault momma always seems to cry.
Momma weeps when she sees my picture,
Momma weeps as she remembers how we'd play,
Momma weeps when she thinks of me,
Momma weeps because I went away.
If I were there, I'd wrap my paws around her neck,
I'd purr away the sadness in her heart,
I'd kiss away those tears that won't stop falling
And I'd let her know we really aren't apart.
I protect her from my cat tree in the sky.
I watch over her day and night,
I know she hurts for me,
I wish I could make it right.
Momma weeps for her lost kitten,
Momma weeps and wishes I were there.
Momma weeps when she sees my empty food dish,
Momma, please know I care.
I weep because Momma weeps,
I cry from my cat tree in the sky,
It's not her fault I had to leave her-
God called me home, I don't know why.
