One Moment More

Folder:
Death

I'd give my soul to hear one last "I love you,"
I'd give away my dreams for just one moment more-
There was so much we had yet to do,
But time ran out on us.
I gave you the best years I had,
You gave me your heart and soul,
Death took you away, left me sad,
A part of me died with you.
I'll never forget our wonderful times together,
And I'll never stop waiting for the day when we're together again-
When death brings me home to you,
And my loneliness comes to an end.
So much we never said to each other,
Little words like "I love you-"
So often taken for granted,
But in the hard times, they'll see you through.
Life is precious,
Our moments are numbered from the time we arrive here,
We may not know how long we have,
So always hold your loved ones dear.
And never forget the precious moments-
You brought so many into my life,
I'd give away my soul for just one moment more,
But there is no turning back,
From the other side of Death's door...
