The Turning Tides
The tides have turned in all of our lives.
Some have been good and some have been bad,
but with each turn, a sense of reality hits.
No tide is like another and every tide seems
to get a little stronger than another.
We begin to grow into someone we never knew
even existed inside of us.
Some tides make you want to cry because they
hurt but they also teach us a lesson.
Some teach us not to give up on life, others
that we have a lot to endure.
Then some will show us that we are strong
and some will show us where we belong.
Whatever turns the tide takes, just know that
you will be able to get through it and that
with it, you will learn something that will
stay with you always.
