Coffee Shop Rain

Sitting in the coffee shop

I watch the rain

Slowly run down my window

The steam from my coffee

Rises into the cooled air

It swirls as it starts to disappear

The people outside

Are holding umbrellas

So they wont get drenched in the cold rain

My eyue catches something

Shiny flickering across the street

A woman leaving the salon

She is wearing

A black raincoat with boots

She waves down a taxi and gets in

Sitting in the cab

She turns tward me

Her blonde hair sailing to her other shoulder

Our eyes meet

My heart feels warm

It seems like I have fallen in love

Sitting in the coffee shop

I watch the rain

Slowly run down my window
