A life of quiet peace

Open spaces of fallen leaves

A life of love and good times

The life I wanted to live

Is nothing but a dream,

Morning breeze through the house

A hard life working with sheep and cows

Things I miss so much

It’s all gone now

I miss that piece of my life

Hard work of sweat, time and tears

Gone are the years

Joy and disappointment

The life I wanted to live

Will never be mine

A life of quiet peace

I only see when I close my eyes
