Fable: The Vulture and the Flamingo

In the beginning, the gods decided to create a wonderful world where everything would be perfect, and their creations would live in peace. So they put a precious diamond in the center of the universe and it grew and grew until it became enormous and suddenly it exploded and the stars and other planets where formed and so our planet and our only home which was named: ”Earth”. It was the most wonderful of all; it had beautiful landscapes, big seas, enormous mountains and deep valleys. So the goods decided to create life in Earth because of its beauty.
The gods created all types of creatures. They created: eagles, dogs, snakes, lions, insects, elephants, squirrels, fish and all types of animals that would fly in the sky, walk in earth or swim in the seas or lakes. The animals lived in peace for a long time and they were very good friends between each other except for the Vulture who was jealous of the pink plumage of the flamingo, however, the Vulture was not ugly in that time, actually he was one of the most beautiful birds in the entire world but he wanted to be the most beautiful of all. One day, the Vulture went with the Crocodile and told him that the Flamingo was saying bad thing about him and that he should give him a lesson, so the Crocodile killed the Flamingo and the Vulture took the wonderful pink plumage out of the poor Flamingo. After that, he dressed the beautiful pink plumages with proud and every animal was amazed with the beauty of the Vulture, they all admired the Vulture because he was the most beautiful animal in the entire world and no one could be compared to him. However, the gods knew that the Vulture was the responsible of the death of the Flamingo and that the Crocodile was culpable too. So the gods came with the Vulture and said: “Vulture!, How could you do that to your brother the Flamingo?!. As a punishment we will make you the ugliest and lonely of all the birds, no one will admire you again”. And suddenly the Vulture became horrible and his wonderful plumage disappeared. But the gods also punished the Crocodile by making his skin dry and rough, condemning him to live lonely and with the necessity of heating his body every day.
Since that day, everything changed and animals became more apart between each other, but some of them still conserve their good relations.
