End of The World Fable

It was a dry sunny day where it was forest before, now its dessert. The world has been destroyed by the evil workings of the God Unitpit and his agent the coyote. Some animals survived when the world was devastated, but no human survived. One of the ways to survive is that any animal gets something to eat while being in the long journey to found a place that wasn’t damaged enough. There was the monkey, who was the one who felt superior than the other animals. With him, there was a crow, which was a very selfish animal and only cared about the present and about himself. The third member of the gang, was white, old, sheepdog that cared about others and always appreciated what he had. Each of them had precious items for their journey. Monkey had three bananas, the bird, had one piece of corn and the dog, had a bone with tiny pieces of meat still attached to it.

The monkey said, “I’ll be the one who lasts longer, that’s because I have more food than both of you” eating his first banana. The bird because he was small, it was easier for him to get food etc. so he started eating his piece of corn. The dog was the oldest, but also the wisest of the group, so he kept silent and kept walking without eating his bone. It passed a day and the monkey ate his other banana, the bird because he finished eating his corn, he looked for more food nearby and founded a piece of gum and ate it. The dog, knowing what was going to happen, ate only a tiny piece of the meat that was attached to the bone and continued his journey.

Later that day, the bird started feeling bad and couldn’t fly any longer so he decided to take a nap at the dog’s back and never woke up again. The monkey, thinking of the present and not the future, started eating his last banana. The dog, not like the money, ate a small piece of meat that was attached to the bone and kept on walking. The second day passed and the monkey started feeling hungry again, but he didn’t had any more bananas and the dog, like before, kept on eating tiny pieces of his bone. The third day passed and the monkey didn’t wake up. Now the dog, having meat still attached to that bone, noticed that he didn’t finished like the other animals that were with him, he appreciated what he had and managed it for his future, not knowing that just around the corner, the plants were starting to grow.
