Death becomes the roses

Folder:
ROXY'S POEMS

She stands near the broken glass,

red rose petals scattered across the floor.

She weeps, with shards of glass still trembling in her hands.

Her love.

Her soul.

Her heart.

It is all gone now.

All that remains is the shattered glass

that once held the roses beside her bed.

Today, her world slipped away.

Today, her love was no more.

With one drop of rain,

one final breath,

one last tear—

everything she had

became everything she wanted back.

And in the silence that followed,

the roses began to wither.
