Those daisies

Folder:
ROXY'S POEMS

Those daisies in the garden,

with faces that look like you,

as bees gently kiss their petals

the way I wish I could kiss you.

Then the hands of time sweep through

and carry every flower away,

leaving me with nothing

but memories of yesterday.

And I will be longing,

waiting forever—

or until my dying day—

for the chance to touch you,

to hold you,

to gently kiss your head.

Just to know that once,

I could honestly say

there was only one love

I ever wanted…

and that love was you.
