There Once Was A Man

Spirtual Poems

There once was a man in a far away place, who came to the world to save the human race. To a virgin he was conceived, from a virgin he came, this is a story of his rise to fame. Born in a barn with nowhere else to go, but there was a purpose if you didn't know. He was meek, he was kind, compassionate and lowly, he was good, he was righteous, awesome, and holy. Full of glory, majesty, and power, he stood strong, he stood tall, as tall as a tower. He started out young teaching the way,the way we should live our lives each and everyday. He performed wonders, miracles, and glorious signs, he raised the dead, he healed the sick, and also the blind. He helped the distressed, he helped the needy and most of all the poor,he healed even diseases that didn't have a cure. Wicked man tried to confuse him, they thought they were wise, but he had an answer for everything, as well as their lies. But, they tried it again, isn't that a trip, but with holy wisdom he shut their lips. They were no match for the one from above, he was without fault, as pure as a dove. In him there was no wrong, in him there was no sin, but that still is not how this story ends. Wicked men got mad, they know it was them, that plotted and schemed to murder and kill him. They falsely accused, they whipped and laughed, but he opened not his mouth on their behalf. They disrespected, mocked and spit, but he still stood there and took every bit. They eventually hung him and made a public display, and all he did was come show us the way. Man rejected him, they had the nerve!! but still he showed mercy man didn't deserve. There once was a man who didn't have to die, he did it for love, for you and I.
