Bargaining

Remnants as memories,

Standing the test of time.

The life we remember,

So utterly sublime.

Strumming the strings of life,

Its music the sound of death.

Air up against our lungs,

Will grant us that next breath.

Haggling with the fates,

Comes a discounted life.

As you are, eternal,

No worries for a strife.

The one page of this book,

Finals the end chapter.

We have read and will be reading,

From this moment and after.

Yesterday is history,

Tomorrow is a mystery,

Today is a gift.
