YOU KNOW YOU LIVE WITH A VETERAN IF�
You look at the coffeemaker and it strangely has no off button.
You hear the national anthem played on television and they salute.
They sometime refer to recruitment commercials as propaganda.
They understand what it means when you say that not all wounds are visible.
They would rather spent time talking to other vets around a local VA or Vet Center than play golf.
No matter what branch they served Old Glory is flown proudly.
They understand what RFTW means and have done it or know someone who has.
Their children know and use military time as normal time.
As a female veteran they know what WIMSA means.
At times they refer to younger soldiers, sailor, airmen as newbies and not understanding them, yet respecting the kinship between them.
Last but not least you know you live with a veteran when you hear no matter what they�ve been through they�d do it again because this country is their home and we serve it proudly.
