bliss

I shunned stars away

bit black scar: the

 deepest pit of the moon

I signed lives away

grew goliath and stone

tore its pages to scar

its bountiful Word

We could

and we did

and I laughed

and you hit

I swallowed fists

bore your black and blue bit

dawned wide eyed stupor: serpent

of this house

poised and swollen

reaching out for daddy’s whip

duct shut eyes

and dark heart wit

We burned this bridge

we burned me to ash

to rid me of my sin

I grew up without a daddy

I grew up without said bliss
