She's in love
But yet she's so distressed
I can tell she thinks that it's messing up
The way that she lives
And instead of asking for advice
She takes the time to sacrifice
Her only chance for true love
She tears herself apart inside

And on the outside she is
wearing an x over her heart
On her chest
She is hoping for the opportunity
to put love to rest
She won't believe in herself
