My father's ties

A closet full with ties can describe my dad’s life. Since I was little I have always associated him with a tie. This is something that represents him as a person. Watching him everyday with a tie hanging around his neck is something that it’s normal at my place. Hundreds of ties perfectly arranged by color and each one with a different print or design. He has all different types of colors: red, green, blue, orange, black, yellow, gray and even pink. He also has very funny designs, like: animals, festive prints, or plain color ties. In order for him to maintain them in order he once bought a special hanger that lets him know when one of his ties is missing and when one of them is in the wrong place. Sometimes I know when one of his ties is new because I know most f his ties. In this aspect he is more organized than my mom. A tie to my father represents what he does at a daily basis, work. He uses his ties to go to work in order to look presentable while doing his job. Everyday that he wakes up, he takes a shower, gets dressed with his suit and his tie, haves breakfast and goes to work. This is a routine that I always seen since I was little from Monday to Friday. The first time I realized that a tie represents my father was when I needed to buy him a present for his birthday. I started thinking of something he would like and wear, so I thought about a tie since he uses them daily. Sometimes I ask myself if he knows that I have always noticed this routine of him. He as a banker and as a businessman finds that using ties is part of his job. He has adopted this outfit as an everyday thing. He sometimes has a bad day at work but most of the time he has a good day. He loves his work and what he does. Also I can tell that his job makes him happy and he loves doing what he does, because it takes the best out of him. Every time I see a good-looking tie it reminds me of my dad. Everyone has something or an object that symbolizes or reminds us to someone special. A tie reminding me of my dad it may sounds dumb or funny, even I have thought of that, but this is something that I have always recognized my dad for.
