It's been such a long and hard road

From home to home never finding peace

But all along we've been together

And always had what no-one ever sees



We escaped the pain only to find more

With shattered memories we built our dreams

Childhood scars faded away with time

But our new lives were less then they seemed



I've never felt loved even though I have

Always longing for that motherly touch

And yet when I gazed into her eyes at last

I can't say that I saw very much



And over the years friendships have passed

Like ghosts upon a voiding sea

And so I have to come to finally realize

The one who's always been there for me



So I say this ode to my truest friend

It seems like countless ages we've grown

Always by my side in light and darkest day

This is an ode to the greatest sister ever known
