this is such a sad night

i've given away too many pieces of my heart

i have none left

to hold my fear

i'll catch every tear

for you

bury my heart in gold

but when it grows to the sky

remember whose it is

i'll be gone by then

you are too beautiful for my pen

and when you smile

you can't hide those tears from me
