Obsession or Passion?

My grandmother loves to wear red clothes, the last Christmas Eve she wore a red woolen cape, after that, in new year’s eve, she wore a red blouse, and in her birthday she wore a red dress. Since I can remember she has always loved to wear red clothes. That does not mean that she is always wearing something red (I think that she is not that obsessed). I saw a picture of her and my grandfather’s weeding in which she is wearing a pair of red earrings, she told me that she used those red earrings because she needed to wear something red (she says that red gives her luck). Even though if her mother told her to wear a pair of earrings that belonged to her grandmother, my great-great-grandmother, my grandmother did not wear them, because those were not red. She has always loved the red color; there is a photograph in which she and all her daughters are wearing red clothing. To take a picture in which you and all your daughters or sons are wearing the same color as you are is something unusual. For her it is very pleasant and fascinating to have a picture of all her daughters wearing red clothing with her. I am pretty sure that at least one third of her clothes are red. My grandmother is well known because she wears a lot red clothing and because she never wears dark-colored clothing, in fact she hates wearing black clothing. The worst mistake that a member of my family can commit is to gift her dusky-colored clothes. That is why my family and I know that in her birthday or in Christmas we must gift her red clothing, because it is what she likes the most. I have never seen her wearing dark-colored clothes; in my grandfather’s funeral she wore something white, not black or dusky-colored as usual. To her, colors say a lot about a person’s personality, in fact they communicate something about you, about your mood and temperament. Colors transmit emotions and feelings, so she prefers wearing something colored, because she likes to transmit good feelings, such as happiness and blissfulness. She says that the reason she loves wearing that color is because it means something very important to her. For her, red represents love and happiness, and wearing red clothes is a way of transmitting those feelings to others, to her family.
