My Grandmother’s Country House

My grandmother has a country house in a little town called Mamulique. It's yellow and white and has a big garden. Through sun and rain the house is still there, I don’t know if it is funny or tragic, but every time it rains the power goes out. Throughout the years this house has been a store, a farm and a home. This house is consider to be antique and everything that it’s inside it, for example the oldest tree in this house is a walnut, this tree it’s about 80 years old. Before people commonly use stone bricks to build houses, they built this house out of big adobe bricks. There are no blinds because the walls cannot be perforated, it’s so lame I know, but not as lame as the bathroom being outside the house. I have fallen, cut my leg, learned to cook, learned how to use a skateboard, learned how to shoot, how to take care of the garden, how to play football, but I don’t have as many memories as my grandma does. The house keeps a lot of secrets, but it also keeps a lot of good memories through proposal, birthday parties’ even first communions, but it has also been part of tragedies, fights, family issues and wakes. There’s one person who has been through all the memories I’d mention, this is person is my grandmother. Originally this house was from my great grandparents, but later they passed it to my grandma. In this house my grandpa asked my grandmother's family for permission to marry her and also he proposed to her. This is where she learned how to walk, talk, write, plant. Also, she learned how to cook, which is her favorite thing to do at the moment, she says it’s the only thing she is really good at, but we all know that’s not true. When she knows we are coming to her house she spends the entire day cooking special things to us. My grandma loves going to this house because it reminds her of her childhood, adolescence and adulthood, but it reminds me how strong my grandma is because of all that she has been through. So far, thanks to this house, our grandma has taught us so many lessons, but the most important one is that there's no need to be in a big place in order to have a good time or to create memories.
