my friends doll

My friend Andrea kept her favorite doll on her bed, always on top of her colorful sheets, the sheets may change, they could be pink, sometimes blue and some other times they could be purple, but her favorite doll was always there. It happened the same way with the seasons outside her window, they may change but her favorite doll was always there, spring turned into summer, summer into winter and winter into spring again, repeating over and over again and her loyal friend was always there through difficult times, when her dog died, when she had a terrible day or  when she had a fight with her mom but she never felt alone because her little friend was there for her, always cheerful and willing to listen but not everything was bad because they also shared happy times, like the time she won her first tennis tournament and the time her sister came to visit. A time came when she had to travel for a long time and couldn’t take her doll with her. Time passed and her sheets remained the same, the lamp on the table behind her bed remained turned off and her loyal friend on top of the bed was also there waiting for her. Seasons passed by and her room was left untouched, obviously I missed her a lot but as I was waiting for her return, her family and her doll was also waiting for her. A year passed by and her so awaited return came and everything was back to normal, her family is as cheerful as usual, I am also sharing great moments and having fun with her and as always she was with her most loyal friend; her doll, always willing to be with her since her childhood and also at this times she always kept her favorite doll, not because she was with her trough everything but also as a reminder of what it is most important, to never forget how to be a kid, to always feed the little kid we have inside, maybe we don’t have a doll to remind us but I have my friend Andrea and her favorite doll to know that this little child of mine will never die and now that I come to realize I’ve never seen her mad or frustrated about silly things, she remind me just of a little child who has no worries and doesn’t keep hard feelings, maybe it is because she held close this important gift that her mother gave her as a symbol of youth.
