TED

You old sly dog,

to use your house as a lifeboat.

Did you know you knew, or did it hit:
suddenly, sharply… steadily.

Did it rest like a balloon,

held by static; dragged by gravity.

Did you want it preplanned?

To self-destruct…

Do you remember the face?

Calm, blatant, nonplussed and enraged by the cheek.

Was it arrogance, the denial?

‘Slimmer than the higgs’ the chances of finding it.

Was it the way you kissed

or just the tendency to over think?

Like she did…

Like she does… Like I do.

You knew the princess in the palace of bones.

You old sly dog,
you dog,
you dog, you ted.
