“Facing The Music”

Facing the music

With every fiber of my being

Of taking charge

Of taking the risk

To let myself take the fall

No matter how hard it is

For me to fess up to the fact

That I was wrong

With everything that I have done to you

As it was never my intention

To bring you such emotional pain

For I know now

That I have done you wrong

In so many unfortunate ways

As there is no turning back

As there is only this moment

Of me having to pay the price

Of losing you

As I only have myself to blame

For I can only come to realize

That I have to face the music

In letting myself

That all that I have done to you

Was ever so wrong

And there is no taking anything back

For I can only come to face the music

And fess up to myself

As to this situation and to you

To let you know

That I was wrong in doing what I did

To make you leave

And I most certainly don’t blame you

For what you want to do

In letting our relationship go

As it was all my fault

In letting it go myself in the first place
