we all want to be
the cover girl,
queen of popularity
its a guaranteed mentality
for the insecure teen
some say "i just want to be me"
but thats a person rarely seen
hiding behind the makeup,
the jersey, or the books
were all that scared child
who never had the "perfect" looks.
its "cool" to not care
so we all pretend,
noone dares
to stick up
for a less popular friend
gossip takes over our hallways,
and renders us helpless to our hearts
we get through each and every days
tearing others lives apart.
