AYUSTA OKAKISYA

see the sad search of her turquoise trouble

a deep cut that bled she feels wounded  and abandoned

buried deep beneath all of the rubble

not those sweet dreams she could have imagined

the brown dust covers her silhouette
casualty in the tension yellow to red an ultimatum

she feels as if she is tethered like a marionette

so she comes here to whisper and cry

her prayers are prayed verbatim

within a that voice comes a sigh
mysterious heart that's torn in two
seeking solace though she cannot give that to you

the dust blows up from Mescalero Sands

while tears well up she wipes them with her tiny hands

oh! vulnerable woman forever changed

for that which she’d pled within love’s dying embers

tracing the cracks in her heart forever rearranged
move on intuitive muse, the truthful touch of ink remembers

have hope in the healing Lord’s gentle caress
between intimate charms and echoing desire

wait patiently let go of all the stress
someday your dreams will take you higher
