i'm on a cobblestone lane

twisting around

footsteps echo

sounds go up and down



another night is gone

say hello to the rising sun

see her there

turn back around

just like before



she is

a beautiful day

when the night feels so right

i'll be at ease

i'll be unbroken



away from her brilliance

i’m laced and entwined to a solitary life

now purple twilight my day turns to night

and I am alone



and when another night has gone

i'm on a cobblestone lane

twisted around

footsteps echo on the walls

sounds go up and down





unsure why i stumble



or of the wind that pushes me humble



i only know



she is
