The Awakening

Think of it not as the waking nightmare of your past
whose empty promises left hopes and dreams
untended, unfullfilled, or otherwise swept away.

You're a somber sleeper within a dream
whose tunnel holds a light at its ending;
A balming light that bathes your senses.
You are alive for the very first time,
eyes painfully pried from their place of quiet complacence;
The cascading electric rainbow.

She whispers a secret to you in passing,
Our celestial satellite; Her Love is all too apparent now.
All at once everything is possible.
In an instant everything has changed.
