Woke up to a pillow fight
Listened to "It Ends Tonight"
Life might be fun for now
Reality is what will follow

Waking up to Florida sunshine
With you on wandering mind
Knowing you live close by
Taking the bus by you all the time

I can't hide this truth from you
I'll just have more explaining to do
That is why I've let it out here
Brushing aside my previous fears

This choice was yours I know
Just like it's my choice to go
To start my Florida life anew
That's why I call this "Take Two"

I'm sorry I messed up time and again
I'd give anything to make it right and not end
I warned you distance wouldn't be a factor anymore
But I didn't tell you my plan before you walked out the door

I feel like it's my turn for a second chance
Knowing regardless you'll hold to your stance
But praying that God would work in our hearts
Even if it's through this time apart.

If we could only leave the past behind
Start everything fresh this time
Taking with us only the wisdom gained
And the friendship that I pray remains

I haven't cried yesterday nor today
But now the tears are coming my way
A flashback to a previous trip
When you whispered "tag, you're it."
