Girl and Boy

Girl loves boy, boy loves girl.
Boy, what a fantastic world.

Married in church, say their vows,
Oh so happy, parents so proud.

Together for a while, child on the way,
Who knew they'd be here some day.

One son, one daughter, happy family,
They gather together under a tree.

On their way home, they travel by car,
Their home close by, not too far.

Something goes wrong, another car swerves,
Impact made, what a terrible turn.

Ambulance comes, tears are shed,
Mom is transported, feared she's dead.

Father rushes to hospital, tears in his eyes,
He feels so guilty, he says as he cries.

He's her love, she's his world,
He's her boy, she's his girl.

Things turn for the worst, and mothers no good,
she passes away, he wishes he could.

Timmy says daddy, you tried your best, you know?
Mommy's in heaven, you have to let go.

Daddy looks at Timmy, and Katie too,
"I'll be here forever, for both of you."

Daddy, and Timmy and Katie they stand,
At the grave, holding hands.

Grave says "Daughter, Mother, Wife,
Lived a loving, fantastic life."

Girl loves boy, boy loves girl,
Together in heaven, if not on Earth.
