Naked People Everywhere

Naked People Everywhere

Clark Steven Lupton

November 12, 2006

I woke up one morning and put on my clothes

It was my obligation to cover up as everyone knows

We have to cover our bodies even though they are sacred

But when I stepped out the door everyone was naked!

Their bodies were exposed with everything on show

Nothing was covered, not their privates, not one toe

Yet everyone stared at me as if they were scandaled

As if me fully clothed was something they couldn’t have handled

Confused as I was I ducked into a mall

There were shops for everything except no clothes at all!

No pants, no shirts, no underwear and no bras

It’s as if there were no more indecent exposure laws!

There were nude males of all ages, nude girls and nude ladies

It smelled like stool because there were no diapers on the babies

I could see everyone’s moles, scars, and hair in funny places

And yet when they looked at me they had shocked looks on their faces

The police arrested me for covering my body

They said I was perverted, a menace and also very naughty

They put me in jail, naked, with other offenders it seemed

Then I woke up again and found it was something I dreamed!

Author's Notes/Comments:

We went to Mall of Asia today, the biggest mall in Asia and it was packed with people in jeans and t-shirts, pretty pitiful for me to see since I'm used to Power Plant Mall near my house where the people are more higher end. Then it dawned on me, "What if all these people had no clothes at all?" Hey at least I didn't add, "...and what if there were no toilet paper or feminine napkins too?"

A world full of nudes, a world that is reversed. Even though it's difficult to understand it through the mind's eye it's easy to imagine especially the way you wrote it!!! Wow! It was hilarious to me but not implying there's a hint of insult. Anyways, keep it up!
