Too much to bear, it feels sometimes,

The darkness crowding, the cold winds blow,

But those cold winds, also ring chimes,

And through the dark, the true lights show.

Without the dark, without the pain,

The light would seem, so pointless.

Without this loss, there'd be no gain,

No sadness means no happiness.

So though at times, I may be hurt,

I realize I've got few great friends,

Just seeing you is a comfort,

Pray our relationship won't end.

You make my life go easier,

Your presence makes me feel secure,

I love the way you take my fear,

The glow you give will still endure.

Don't need to tell you who you are,

We're close enough, not hard to tell,

Know how I feel, you know my heart,

You made me smile when I fell.

We went through pain, so we could see,

What God's plans had in store for us,

Forever close, friends, you and me,

Thank you for not being too tough.
