Always

There are many sins,

When followed by a demon.

A life lacking angels,

But at last there appears one.

Could it be true,

Right before his very eyes.

That an angel can save him,

Stop him from his own demise.

A sight of perfection,

In the eye of the beholder.

What a pain it will bring,

When he can never hold her.

If the angel be you,

And I should be him.

I'd give it all to hold you,

Take an arm, take a limb.

For the pain of never knowing,

The gentle caress of your hand.

Feels like I'm drowning in water,

Or being consumed by quick-sand.

I know I cannot live forever,

Staring in awe at my true love.

When the night ends I hope you will find me,

Come take me with you to the sky above.

For there we might be together,

With no tumults to halt our bliss.

With you I see a forever,

But I'll start with one first kiss.

You may not feel the same,

And if so I cannot rejoice.

But still I have a smile,

Along the sound of your sweet voice.

In case you may forget,

Find me at the end of days.

Ask if I love you, real or not real,

For my answer remains, “Real and Always”.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I've come to love the way I am deceived by happiness. For it is there one moment and taken from me the next.
