Tide Of Hesitance

Folder:
2005 - 2006

So, what would you say

If the conversation came up

As to why friendship failed us

And why we haven't found it since

Our fences fell down

And built up the other's defense

On such shaky ground

As well as we think it's hidden

It's as clear as the day

The stitches broke and gave way

To the hurt we're now feeling

So, I spent yesterday thinking

How I wish it were still how it was

Before we gave each other up

Faster than the blink of an eye can shut

We were gone

Thinking we were right

Knowing we were wrong

If I saw your face would I recognize it now

Would I realize we both changed

Or not find the courage and bow out

And just let pride take its claim

And let the tide of hesitance again be the blame

As it seems it's always been

As well as we think it's hidden

It's as clear as the day

The stitches broke and gave way

To the hurt we're now feeling

As well as we think it's hidden

It's as clear as the day

The stitches broke and gave way

To the hurt we're now feeling

I loved this stanza. I fell out with my best friend Will about 6mnths ago, because I felt like i didn't know who he was anymore. I can totally relate to this. You're very talented. Keep posting please!
