Star Sonnet

Glistening so intensely in the night

These stars have such a sensational life

They shine their hardest and its oh so bright

Oblivious to the world and its strife

But I suppose they have their worries too

Because in the end they will fade and die

And then they'll be completely out of view

Unable to twinkle in the night sky

But another will come and take its place

Glowing brighter than the previous one

Realizing that it too, will be replaced

It lives its life as brightly as the sun

But before it departs, it leaves its mark

Shooting off in the dark with a great spark
