A Day Of Reckoning And Repentence

Much to my embarrassment with, and disappointment in, myself, I have discovered, today, that I have failed to reply to comments on some of my poems.  These comments were affixed weeks, or months, ago; and I failed to acknowledge them.

I have been very vocal about believing, and I still do believe, that part of the community spirit of postpoems obliges a member to at least acknowledge comments received from other Poets.  An elaborate response, a short, reply, or just a "thank you"---but something as a courteous response to a Poet who took the time and made the effort to place a comment.

Therefore, I must admit my aghast embarrassment to discover that I have failed in this with a couple of comments that, today, I found that I had failed to answer.  This was not an intentional omission; but it was an omission of stupidity, carelessness, inattention, or incompetence; one, some, or all of those conditions.

To any Poet at Postpoems whose comment or comments I have failed to acknowledge, I offer this apology, with sincere repentence of the failure, and the promise to try to be more careful going forward.  Even though my omissions have not been intentional, I have no excuse for them.

Please, of your kindness, forgive my poor and shameful example.

To care for such even when

To care for such even when there are good reasons for it being so, that is the mark of gentlemanly decorum. And as such is an example of how we can move in social graces. World peace begans with us in our little patch of the woods. Such a good thing to pass onward and forward, star-ward.

Thank you for saying so, and

Thank you for saying so, and please accept my apology for those of your comments that I failed to acknowledge in a timely way.  I think I have addressed them all . . . or at least those that I could find.
