In our humble beginnings our future plans laid bare
Family ties you balanced on the line old and new
All the while you worked your way through
Staying your course and eventually you saw and you knew.

But take us back to a time before,
take us back to where excitement was king
To when we were white shining with dew drops
In exquisite discoveries wrapped up in eachother.

Then maybe we`d both be seventeen
Cruisin' in your first car
And actin` like shooting stars on Friday night
Do you remember those Friday nights?

Our picnics in the moonlight with tuna, mayo, tomato sauce sandwiches
Absurd and totally surreal capturing my attention lighting your spark
We roved the small corners of our world looking for zest in life
With endless passion, love and laughter we recognized eachother in love

And all the whole world had to stand still
Then turn around us, 'cause that was the deal
And we were in love, we were in love

A prelude to a grand slight, oh how we loved those messy nights
I cast my mind back to our first encounter it wasn't love at first sight,
But you disappeared for a while and when you stepped out transformed
My jaw just dropped, something fired up in me at once I recognized you

You braved my guards and took me for a ride cocky as you know
It was so All so innocent, so young and each midnight ride a new.
You now call me your vixen, your inspiritation and I relish the thought
I said I loved you but I lied this is so much more than love I feel inside ;)

Who could've known my biggest mistake is my catalyst for the life I now have
Bigger, brighter, better than the sun for you are a shimmer Lighting my life
I honor you forever with passion and love for the beauty that I now see above
And for all the things I never took notice of suddenly
I recognize this is why we are in love.
