The Parrot's Lullaby

Five months ago
A baby boy was introduced.
All of the joy is blistering.
He will be of no use.
He will be raised by parrots
And they will multiply.
Here, baby boy.
I'll sing you the Parrot's Lullaby

Hush.
Future Parrot,
Please don't cry.
I'll sing you the Parrot's Lullaby.
It's not all your fault,
You see.
But listen here,
I guarantee
That if your thoughts are all your own,
You'll find no use for a wishing bone.
Please.
Future Parrot,
Don't shed a tear.
Your big sissy will be right here.
Think for yourself,
And you won't fall.
Maybe you're not a future parrot,
After all.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I sing this to my 5 month old brother in hopes that he won't become a parrot like those around him.
