So We Held On

Listening to the radio,
I start to remember good times.
All of us guys singing
trying to woo all of the girls’ hearts.
Later on we went out and played football
using nothing but the moon light
to show us the way to the end-zone.

We were too young to care
but old enough to know better.
Days went by,
the seasons changed.
Life was moving
so we held on.

Driving to my parent’s place.
I pass the old park.
I get misty eyed.
There is where we had spring fling.
That is the place where we all  hung out.
That is where all of the teens made out.

We were too young to care
but old enough to know better.
Days went by,
the seasons changed.
Life was moving
so we held on.

Talking with my friends.
Just when I thought my ghosts were gone.
They bring up your name.
Thinking back to the days of us.
Holding hands, leaning in close.
Making love, enjoying what we had.
Wishing I had you back.

We were too young to care
but old enough to know better.
Days went by,
the seasons changed.
Life was moving
so we held on.
