Feeling defeated

Watching as all the walls come crumbling down around me

My wings are left crumpled and broken

From the fall

Everything I had once dreamed of

Was torn from my grasp

Life now feels empty and meaningless

Without a dream to chase

The weight of my failures crushes my chest

Making my heart heavy

Where do I go from here?

Who do I turn to when there's nothing left?

Turning to God I ask him to heal my broken wings

Help me to my feet once again

Soul searching looking for a higher calling

God has given me the courage to walk on through this storm

To see light in my darkest hour

Following an unknown path I await my destiny

Blindly walking in his shadow

Praying my life will change

Devoting myself to follow in his image

Wanting to be someone who others can look up to

To be an inspiration to others who are soul searching

Those who are lost and need help finding the righteous path

I want to help others in the way I wish someone would have helped me

Finding yourself on your own is not an easy task

It takes a lot of strenght and perserverence

I wish I had someone to help me be strong
