Lost (And Gone Without A Trace)

Just adding another face,

Of someone I let slip away.

Waiting for the trace,

To find where you are today.

You're missing from our minds,

But you're always in our hearts.

And though we don't know where you are,

We know you aren't far.

Lost like the tear in the ocean,

That I cried when you left,

I'd spend the rest of my life searching for it,

If you'd come back by my next breath.

Would undying passion never departed,

Bring you back to where you once started?

Would promises of a better day,

Make you change your path or way?

Come back soon I pray today,

With faith that tomorrow,

Will bring you back,

From being away.
